Just because a company hires an IT consultant team doesn’t mean that it will work. Craig Raubenheimer, a Boston area managed services company owner, talks about how he would normally work with a business to help solidify their IT foundations and keep them working. Check out what he said about it below.

“Typically when we engage we have very specific customized situations. We always find there’s never one company that is the same.  Typically we have a foundation of keeping the infrastructure running.  We do a lot of managed services on the back end that enables us to provide a more superior type of IT service to a company as opposed to just doing the housekeeping.  We have infrastructure on the back end that allows us to give a very cost effective baseline type of support to the smallest of businesses.  Then it all depends on the company – sometimes the company may be a technology company – in that case it’s a little more hands-off in the terms of help desk support.  They don’t need that component or they may need a smaller amount of that component. Or they’re an advertising agency where they have the need to be creative and they need help desk and they just want their machines to work – they don’t want to have to figure out why they can’t print or why I can’t get to the internet or why their email doesn’t work.  It varies – we usually listen to the prospect and understand a little bit more about their business.”

Do you agree with how he would get a company’s technology up to speed? Would it make you feel better if you knew the team that ran your Boston area networking support cared about what they were doing?
