Boston Tech Support businesses need to hear this one. According to an article in Reuters, there are big software faults in some Bluetooth devices that are putting users at risk.
Bluetooth radio technology is widely used to link cellphones to their accessories, and its security has not been considered a major problem, until now. A study conducted by Finnish data security firm, Codenomicon states:

“The problems are in the implementation. Coders make human mistakes,” technology chief Ari Takanen told Reuters on Friday, adding that deciding which device was more secure was very difficult.

In response Mike Foley, Bluetooth SIG’s executive director said, “One of the reasons these members pick Bluetooth wireless technology, is because of the strong security Bluetooth technology can provide through effective implementations by the OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) who build these products”.

As more and more employees are bringing their personal technology into the workplace, concern for security of their devices is growing. If you would like to read more from this article clickhere.
